How Google’s new privacy policy will affect you

By now you’ve probably seen warnings when using Google services about the new privacy policy, which takes effect on March 1 this year. According to Google:

We’re getting rid of over 60 different privacy policies across Google and replacing them with one that’s a lot shorter and easier to read. Our new policy covers multiple products and features, reflecting our desire to create one beautifully simple and intuitive experience across Google.

Weeks away from the change and many people are going crazy over the changes, including this court case from the Electronic Privacy Information Center, and a group of European regulators calling for a halt on the policy until it can be more thoroughly understood.
